David James is thrown out of partner Amanda Salmon's Teignmouth home on Saturday morning after it emerged that he cheated on her with actress Claire Cooper.Carrying an England bag the stopper drove back to his Chudleigh home after a furious row with Amanda, soon after she too left in tears with the couple returning together some five hours later in a show of solidarity to the gathered media.
England goalkeeper David James could have a battle on his hands to save his relationship with partner Amanda Salmon today. The Portsmouth number 1 nicknamed 'calamity James' after his numerous on field blunders between the sticks was photographed with Hollyoaks actress Claire Cooper who plays feisty Jacqui McQueen, in Southampton last week.
Although the pair denied the affair when it was put to them at Amanda's Devon home yesterday, the photographic proof printed in a Sunday newspaper today could spell the end of their relationship.
Amanda opened the door yesterday to reporters in tears claiming she knew what was going on and James himself claimed that Claire was just a friend. Amanda moved out of their shared home in Chudleigh for a seaside home in nearby Teignmouth while James was with Claire at a bowling alley and later had dinner together at TGI Friday in the City and although they are putting on a public show that they are still together, we followed James back to his Chudleigh home on a daily basis last week alone after resuming training at Portsmouth's Eastleigh sports ground earlier in the week.
